My website was being used by evil doers to create fake orders to test credit cards through paypal, this led to 100’s of “fake orders” going though my website – the first thing I want to make clear is, I was not hacked, your data is safe. People and I use that term loosely gathered or created credit card information and use websites with low price level items to “test” the card – I had no idea this was a thing. But it is apparently fairly common, although I had not had it happen here in all the years. While quite a few of these came back as failed orders, I have had to go through each one double checking to make sure I am not sending out stock to people who don’t exist.
